I am looking to purchase a trailer to haultractors and other farm equipment. I have a 3/4 ton HD pickup with the HD Towing package, powered with a 6.0 gas engine. I wish only to haul my own equipment for weekend stuff, i.e. farm sales, odd jobs around friends and family homes. Lagest machine is IH 240 and 4000 ford. What type would be best,Skid steer trailer, Over the wheel bed, Pintel hook or Ball hitch ??? I was considering an 18 footer, 96" wide. Which is better surge brakes or electric brakes? What is the difference between the Pintel hitch and the ball hitch in performance, any advatages or disadvanatages??? Safety concerns etc.????? Thanks in advance for your help. Ed
