I just picked up a 46 or 47 H with a front end loader. It starts and runs great. (Bear with me I'm a new Farmall nut). My intention is to some day tear her down and rebuild her completely. In the interim, I do want to use it, my only other tractor is a 48 cub. I'm trying to isolate the sound because I'm not real sure it's in the motor. Mechanicaly everything works. It only smokes when first started and it's cold but only for a moment. Anyone have any good techniques to isolate these types of sounds ? Second, if it is a Rod bearing. Is it possible to replace that from the bottom up without a complete tear down ? Third, What are thought on an engine flush. Would that just loosen up too much grime to be usefull and thus detrimental ? Any thoughts would be appreciated. -Matt
