Hi. I recently picked up a 1948 Super A. It had an alternator mounted with no wires going to or from it. I bought a used 6v generator (delco I think) and a voltage regulator. The regulator I have doesn"t look like it mounts to the generator - on my Uncles A it has the regulator mounted on the top of the generator. The regulator I have looks like it is the one for maybe the 100 series? Looks similar to the picture of that one in the parts section of this site. I guess to make a short story long - does the regulator mount to the top of the generator on the Super A? Where can I get one if the one I have is the wrong one? Or is there a good place to mount the one I have?
Also, what size are is the bolt and the nut/bolt used to mount the generator to the bracket? Is the generator held in by the tension of the belt?
