I posted some time back about running a log splitter off my belly pump. Well, I finally got all the hoses connected, the return line fitted to the filler/breather and the valve on the splitter hooked up. Gave it a try today and sure enough, works like a charm. I suppose that old pump hadn't been used very much over the years.
Now for a question. I filled it with 303 hydraulic fluid, then read somewhere online that I shoulda used 30wt motor oil as the hydraulic fluid is too thin and will leak out of the pump. Any truth to this?
