Guys would like to add a few years ago: I was heavy in farm bureau and we were in the middle of this. The state had a basic joke of inspections for farm trucks/local use situations. 1/32 tire tread broken/missing glass ok, Brakes on rear axle only. You get the idea rolling wrecks. Well that year there were two major accidents involving them 1. A potato truck lost the brakes (rusty line and brakes needed overhaul) hit a school bus know one killed but hospital care needed both vehicles totaled. 2. A grain truck if I recall lost a steering component and took out some cars bad crash no deaths but hospital car. The results were truck was not fit to be on the road anyway!! Well you can bet the state shut that mess down and made a much more stringent farm truck inspection a lot of the local use exemptions went away. We did not have much ground to argue it at farm bureau and actually had to support some of it!!!

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
