Hi, From an engineers overview I'd like your comm- ents. I've been pulling a "G" for years now and I am still learning the tricks. I consider myself mechanically inclined, but I am baffled by weight placement in pulling. I was always under the assumption that you should put your weights as far behind the rear axle as allowed and just enough on the front as far ahead as allowed. But I see others who use belly bars and do just as good or better than my method. My thinking tells me that it takes more weight in the middle to hold the front down than 6' further ahead and takes away from weight you could have used on the rear. Also assuming your drawbar doesn't flex why does everyone shorten the drawbar? This seems backwards to a leverage advantage. Don' get me wrong I use belly bars and short drawbars but can't explain why it works. The guys with belly bars usually don't bother with any weight up front. Thanks, Al
