had my farmall c pulling a bulk fertelize spreader last spring when battery blew up. sounded like a cannon. of course i had left lid off battery box so i got sprayed with acid. luckely had my shades on and washed my face with water jug. heard of them blowing while jump starting but never seen one blow after couple hours use. i guess fluid level got low and overheated. anybody ever had one blow like that before? afterward rolled it down hill and it started and ran until got it to shed. plates must have ben still making contact enough to make spark for distributer. too many projects going on to mess with it yet. could ammeter sticking cause this?
