Pasteurization of Milk

Thanks for all of the advice on milk. My Father and Grandfather were dairy farmers and always drank raw milk, however, Dad tells me that they always milked the same cow for the milk they consumed themselves and that it was given special care, such as daily cleaning and feeding not afforded to the others. Recently, I purchased a farm and am about to buy a couple of milk cows to milk for my own use. I wanted to get other opinions on the matter. Again thanks!
