Hey Bob, thanks for answering. I was hopping you'd respond. I have the ammeter wired as follows. 1: #2 on alt. pigtailed to "BAT" and then goes to "-" side of ammeter. 2: Wire to light switch on "-" side of ammeter. (Wire to light switch is capped off for now.) 3: Wire to ignition switch on "-" side of ammeter. (Wire is by itself on ignition terminal.) 4: Wire to starter on "+" side of ammeter. The warning light goes to #1 on alt. Then from warning light to ignition, same terminal as wire to coil. What test can I run on alt? I bought a reman. 10SI from Auto Zone. The warning light just says "deluxe panel light" on the package. I need new wire as I only have #14 from the alt. Would that cause the light to stay on? I know the smaller gauge wire won't carry as much. DC wiring confuses me. I am an AC wire wire man, but have made it my goal to learn DC. I wired an alt. on my dad's Massey earlier this year and it worked fine, only it was diesel. Once again I thank you for your time and patience.
