The time has come to replace our old Dodge 1999 pick-up. Been a great truck, but NYS salt is getting to it. So, I want a compact 4x4 work truck, think I want a Toyota Tacoma, but after looking at the used prices, I am not so sure. Most I am finding are "decked out", I need a work truck but would like an extended cab. Does the Nissan Frontier compare. It's probably going to be my last truck, will be used for short trips, 100 miles at most, got to pull my trailer with ATV or lawnmower and take me hunting. Looking for something economical to run and maintain and dependable. Looked at the new Ranger and it is not a compact. Haven't shopped trucks in 20 years.
